Hardware Setup

The See Tickets Box Office Android App is compatible to connect via Bluetooth with:

After you select an event, you will notice a hardware connectivity status section on the top left of the screen:

Connect Printer

Printers can take up to 5 attempts to connect when pairing for the first time. You will receive an error saying that pairing could not be done. Try again. It can be 2, 3, 4 and up to 5 times, before the printer is paired.

First time pairing the printer:

  1. Turn on the printer
  2. Pair the printer to the tablet
    1. Go to Settings → Connections → Bluetooth (on) → Available Devices, you will find the printer as “Boca123456”. Screenshot_20240216_190306_Settings (1).jpg
    2. Tap on the Boca printer, observe the pairing message.

    3. You might get an error: “Couldn’t connect”. This is normal, now you should tap again up to 5 times.

    4. If after 5 attempts the printer doesn’t pair:
      1. Unplug the printer and plug it back in again. Make sure the printer is on.
      2. Turn the bluetooth setting off and back on.
      3. Try instructions again.
    5. You will receive now a request to pair.

    6. Tap on Pair, and now the printer should move up to the paired devices.

  3. Open the app
    1. The app will automatically try to connect. The printer connectivity indicator will display a loading icon for 30 seconds, the it should display the green indicator.If the app doesn’t connect after 30 seconds, close the app and open it again.

    2. You can test the connection in 2 ways:
      1. Try a comp ticket.
      2. Go to Event settings → Printer → Print a test ticket.

Printer already paired:

  1. Make sure the Printer is already paired to the tablet/device.
    Go to Settings → Connections → Bluetooth (on) → Paired Devices, you will find the printer paired as “Boca123456”.

  2. Open the app
    1. The app will automatically try to connect. The printer connectivity indicator will display a loading icon for up to 30 seconds, the it should display the green indicator.
    2. If the app doesn’t connect after 30 seconds, close the app and open it again.

    3. You can test the connection in 2 ways:

Connect the Credit Card Reader - Stripe M2 Readers

First time pairing the reader:

  1. When you first installed the app, you should enable the following permissions:
    1. Location → While using the app

    2. Connect to nearby devices → Allow

  2. Log in to the app.
  3. Tap on the app’s reader indicator (top right) to let the app know that you are trying to connect a new reader.
  4. Tap on the reader’s side button for 2 seconds to wake it up.
  5. You’ll automatically see a notification to pair the reader. Screenshot_20240301_150639_Settings (1).jpg If working with multiple stations: Make sure the reader's serial number matches the one that it’s trying to pair to the device.
  6. It will take up to 30 seconds to pair, before the indicator on the app (top right) turns green.
  7. Try a test transaction to make sure it works as expected.
    (You can later refund the test transaction in the management backoffice.)

Reader already paired:

  1. Open the app
  2. Press the reader’s side button for 2 seconds to wake it up.
  3. It should automatically connect.
    If the app doesn’t connect after 30 seconds, close the app and open it again.

Things to Note

Hardware (Credit Card readers and Boca Printers) are only compatible with the Android app version. If you are on the web version, you’ll notice an “invalid device” message on the hardware connectivity indicators.
