Facebook Tracking

What are Facebook Pixels?

The Facebook pixel is a piece of code that you place on your website. It collects data that helps you track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads and re-market to people who have already taken some kind of action on your website.

Types of Facebook Tracking Installations on See Tickets?

Installation can be at the Client Level or Event Level.

Who Can Add a Facebook Tracking Pixel?

Pixel placement is accessible by See Tickets staff only, meaning clients cannot access. Pixels can be placed by Client Service, Marketing or the Design Team.

Where can I add a Facebook Tracking Pixel?

Installation of Facebook Tracking Pixels

The Facebook tracking pixel can be installed by the See Tickets team on the client or event level.  Multiple pixels can be installed, but only the client pixel will populate automatically. You will need to provide direction to our team about where you want the pixel placed.

Tracking pixels are placed by See Tickets on:

  • Event Page
  • Checkout Page
  • Thank You Page

Event Page Tracking

Any code added to the Burn Code text box by our team will be injected into the event page. There is a place to add the burn code to the regular event page or the white label event page.  This includes FB tracking pixels and retargeting pixels.

Checkout Page Tracking

Whatever you request to be added to the order code text area will be injected into the checkout page.

Thank You Page Tracking

The code placed on this page will be placed on the Thank You page, which is the last page a customer will get to after they have made a purchase. This page constitutes a conversion, and can only be accessed once they buy a ticket.  ONLY conversion tracking goes in this conversion code field.

Definitions of dynamic values available within the Event Conversion Code:

  • ##ORDER## - Customer-facing alphanumeric order number starting with "gn".

  • ##ORDERID## - Another indicator related to the order, but it is only numeric and not used as often as the ##ORDER##.

  • ##TOTAL## - Total including taxes and fees.

  • ##TOTALNODOT## - Total including taxes and fees without any decimal in the number (instead of 100.23, we will have 10023).

  • ##CITY## - City provided by the customer in their address.

  • ##REGION## - Region (i.e. state or province) provided by the customer in their address.

  • ##EVENTNAME## - Name of the event.

  • ##EMAIL## - Customer’s provided email.

  • ##AGE## - Customer’s age.

  • ##TICKETTYPEPRICENODOT## - Ticket Type Price without any decimal in the number (instead of 100.23, we will have 10023).

  • ##TICKETTYPE## - Ticket Type selected by the customer.

  • ##TICKETTYPENAME## - Ticket Type name.

  • ##BIRTHDATE## - Customer’s birth date.

  • ##GENDER## - Customer’s gender.

  • ##PROMOCODE## - Promo Code used by the customer in the order, if applicable.

  • ##CLIENTID## - Client ID number.

  • ##TOTALFACEVALUEONLY## - Total Face Value (without any fees and/or taxes).

  • ##TOTALFACEVALUEONLYNODOT## - Total Face Value without any fees and/or taxes and without any decimal in the number (instead of 100.23, we will have 10023).

How to Confirm Your Facebook Pixel is firing

Install the Facebook Pixel Helper

The Facebook pixel helper is a Google Chrome extension that shows you when a Facebook pixel fires.

Test your Pixel

The final step is to navigate to the event page, and click on the Facebook Pixel Helper tool and verify that all of the elements on the page are “verified” with a green check mark.

Visit your event page and check the extension. If you don’t see your pixel, make sure the pixel ID you entered is correct (with no spaces or extra characters).

If you see any error messages on your pixel, click on them to see more information and contact the See Tickets team to request adjustments.
